Some Fallish Photos

iPhone 6 Acquired

We got new cell phones. I got the 6, Kat got the 5s. Here are my thoughts so far on the new iPhone 6.

• The slipperiest thing I have ever felt. It is like holding a jelleyfish covered in vaseline.
• It is almost too big. I mean it is huge, or at least it feels that way.
• I think something is wrong with the screen, some kind of bad pixel or something. That is pretty annoying.
• It doesn’t really FEEL crazy faster than my old 5. I feel like it should.
• iOS 8 is pretty silly. Not sure what changes were even made.

And that is how I feel about it currently.

I also took some fallish photos at a local park. I will attach pics of those shortly.

Candlelit Noise Test

Our power went out the other day. It was an excellent opportunity to illustrate the benefits of having a full-frame Canon DSLR and prime lens, specifically the 6D and 50mm f1.8 II lens. Obviously a very low light situation, there is basically no way you could photograph this without the setup that I am using here. Obviously this isn’t an every day scenario, but its nice to know that I am not constrained by my gear (only by my ability to use that equipment).
